Sightseer’s Flow

A good thing about knowing a lot of producers/djs is having a lot of music to draw from for these sessions. This latest features a track off the new album Anywhere People from my good friend Edamame. Again the way this one works is start the track at the bottom then the numbers in the text indicate timescale.

My words create reality

Each thought is a submission

Entering into the world

Its hybrid nuclear fission.

Elemental, blending sounds

Awaiting their conclusion.

The past is gone and future’s clear

Each moment in position.

The here we found, with time unbound

Leads onward, if we listen

Truth of the matter, watch it scatter

Like snowflakes gently glisten

Seen the strife, that’s part of life

We’d all gladly omit it

It’s die or live with all the knocks

Reveling in the paradox.

1:36

Intergalactic what attracts it

The methods in the madness

Built up on love, the sky above

A ground all covered in sadness.

Pushing feet like pulling teeth

Resistant, stuck in blandness

Diving inside, just free your mind

Embrace the inner grandness.

Eternal youth, eternal truth

You know it’s in the plan this,

Who we want to be,

What we want to see

Measured desire, take you higher, don’t hope aimlessly,

Life like a rope, but dont let it choke

Air most precious gift god gave us

Controlling voice, what’s your choice

Take the tools, like the fool

Make magic out of nothing

Realise what’s inside

Bring the image from your mind

Let it rise like sun it shines

Out of sight its inner rhyme

Edamame keepin time

While i flow this. maybe bogus

But the solution’s only mine

Livin life up on the grind

seeking solace in metropolis

While the worlds asleep I go real deep

and then maybe call it conscious.

2:34

Maybe blindness,

Back and Forth

Two voices, one poem, blended smoothly where possible in tune with the tone

A mind which can’t be read,

A heart with no tears left to shed.

Guided by blind intuition,

Swept up in breaths of intention.

Apologies from far off horizons

Emotions wrapped up in silence.

Who’s to catch me when I fall?

Who’s to soothe all the pain,

Providing comfort after rain?

Soaked from the cold,

Huddled and alone,

Staring into the darkness of a lost kiss,

Dripping tears, heavy hearts wander.

Awaiting reciprocity in vain,

Ticking time til they meet again.

Underachieving, losing the true peace.

Wrapped up in false moments

While time pushes forward.

Seeking the wind to fill sail

Else to be lost in travail.

Another Ladder

Another collaborative effort from the square roundtable of the Fantastic 4:

…And so they waited

For life to be illustrated.

Tell me what is so amazing

In that place we see.

Dreams together so sweetly

Way out past the clouds.

Flowing together our bodies,

Like milky butter cream

Dancing on prismatic feathers

Into the sky, oh my.

So happy we could die,

As fears just glide on by.

—-

and another short interlude inspired by the magic that is an ipod on shuffle:

Music is my medication,

Melody my bowl,

Harmonically unfolding

Into brave new worlds.

Dancing with desire,

Dreaming souls conspire,

To live life in its fullest

To be true to those closest.

Escaping from the fears

Removing painful tears.

The past is always present,

Even if we resent it.

So go on all you lovers,

Lay safe beneath your covers.

Spend your days in peace,

Live free and be released.

Folded Together

Another poem made late into the hours of the night after a wonderful evening of dancing and revelry. A game we try to play, folded words on paper that come and go, into the flow.

====

Words that just won’t come together,

But then again, birds fly, on their feathers.

Like 8am clouds, grey as heather,

They carry on, no matter the weather.

Always looking forward, never dwelling

On the past. Past is the present,

Present is living.

Future is always a new adventure.

So, keep moving forward,

Never look back.

Let your heart stay light

As your mind takes flight.

Always keep a goal, in sight.

A positive mind is key.

So gather round and listen ye,

Travelers, lovers and animals.
