… and so I go, On

All the days trapped in a haze,

Bobbin’, weavin’, lost in space.

Tracking features of the maze

Stopping only, just to blaze.

Reflecting through the mirror

Idly perfecting, vision clearer.

Won’t stop searching til I see her,

Can’t stop hurting til she’s nearer.

So I’ll keep on jumpin’ bars,

‘Cause it’s out there, somewhere far,

Beyond the asteroids, planet Mars,

Know I’ll find it, in the stars.

The place of peace, not death release.

Filled with trees & falling leaves.

No need for words, just hear the breeze.

Beyond all care, we’ll lay

Caught in the stare, a lovers’ play;

Of nights so short, we seize the day,

Until it all just fades away.

Western Promises

Thought you were wild,

The way that you smiled.

With gleaming eyes staring,

As if preparing,

For life in the west;

A bold vision quest.

Seeking out life,

Out of the hype.

A city made of gold

But only for those bold

Enough to see past fake,

Through hazy eyes awake.

Into streaming dreams

Bursting at the seams.

With infinite wishes,

Immeasurable wishes,

Paid for with kisses

So sad that you’ll miss it

Haiku Tuesday [California Dreaming Edition]

Please pardon the hiatus, I’ve been vacationing & exploring the great state of California and haven’t had computer access. The time here has been quite inspirational and this shall be the first of many works inspired by this trip. So without further ado, here we go…

leaky faucets drip

ebbing away secrets, meant

to be held by love

floating through midair

hawk gazing from lofty heights

dispensing wisdom

adventures beyond

accustomed comfort

to new horizons

fading into night’s

embrace of silent beauty

laying by my side

a new day begins

expanding our horizons

into bright future

advantage awaits

those minds which surrender to

the power of love

reality blurred

not by blindness but rather

clear inner vision

situations change

even when action does not

steadfastness prevails

opening new frontiers through

footfalls echoing

across a glassy canvas

shifting sands of time

bountiful treasures

hidden within webs laying

quiet, undisturbed

gaily rising sun

dispelling chilly night air

as I gently sway

Haiku Tuesday [oh no he didnt]

and now for something completely different… a foul mouthed round of 17:

i said eat it bitch

awaiting the slap to come

‘cross my dirty mouth

and back to the regular schedule;

fading into night

embraced by silent beauty

laying by my side

spatter pop fizzle

drizzle crack griddle flip flop

oh joys of breakfast

rolling tossing turned

around the world in a night

flight across the bed

eyes belie the smile

hidden behind her shoulder

candlelight flickers

smiles bursting in ink

excited to be
